If we embrace an uncompromising rejection of racism, sexism [and all forms of oppression] or other means of demeaning or dismissing other humans as inferiors, can we do this through rejecting hate and humiliation of others as valid means of relating? Is it possible to set mindful restraints on our communication process so that we can feel our feelings without discharging them into projections of Otherness -- then trying to manage and control the Others? Can we become secure in Belonging without Othering? Is it possible for human groups, including couples and families, to step into a new kind of consciousness that allows dialogue about differences instead of requiring hierarchy and war to settle our conflicts?
