This training will present love as a spiritual practice of concentration, equanimity, real dialogue and mindful witnessing. The main hypothesis is that humans were “born to be loved” and that love is distinct and quite different from an attachment bond or attachment relationship. Love requires the ability to see/hear/feel another person accurately, especially even in times of conflict and emotional activation. Because humans can be aware of their awareness, they are able to constrain their reactivity and focus on their perceptions of others to fulfill the spiritual practice of love. The presentation presents “love” as a uniquely human opportunity that cannot be carried out by other animals or trans-human robots. Within this framework of love, we grow our consciousness of our own subjectivity, as well as our sense of meaning and compassion.
CE-Go is proud to provide clinicians with the opportunity to attend content-rich workshops that are research-based and are contextually forward-thinking. This training will be a launching pad to initiating dialogue on innovative, clinical, research-based knowledge, and we are excited to have gathered a group of dynamic leaders in the field of behavioral healthcare to spark the conversation.
